Hey there~ I’m Jennifer I am passionate about helping women find freedom and Embody Grace! Freedom from self-criticism; freedom from negative thinking; freedom from anxiety and worry. Embodied Grace is embracing your truth. Embracing and loving your life; embracing self awareness by doing what is right for you and letting go of what others think you “should do”. Embodied grace is claiming your worth; aligning with your purpose, setting your intentions, and moving in the clarity of knowing what you want. I help my clients align their intention with their actions to produce positive changes.
I also know that being physically healthy is an absolute piece of that puzzle! If you aren’t taking care of yourself physically, then most likely you won’t feel emotionally or mentally ready to make BIG CHANGE in your life!
My story is …I have no story…
I am pretty much normal…. average…middle class…no life shattering, earth shaking life traumas…I am intuitive but that seems normal to me.
Now, we all know that really isn’t true, that I “have no story”. Everyone has a story. However, my story isn’t really all that spectacular or out of the ordinary. I’ve never been homeless or in foster care. I’ve always had food to eat. Now I have been in a car accident but the sky didn’t part or anything like that. So yeah, I’m normal and my story isn’t “unbelievable”… and maybe that is exactly why I need to tell it!
I was born and raised in small town Colorado. I have lived in small towns in Colorado all my life. By typical definition, I am an “average Joe” (well, Jen in this case!)
My life hasn’t been glamorous or overly dynamic, but it also hasn’t been terrible. I am a small town country girl. I still live in a small town, and yes by choice! I’ve never been drawn to big cities or big crowds; as a matter of fact the busy-ness of the city sometimes overwhelms me. I’m perfectly happy living simply and quietly and enjoying the simple things. I’m not very “exciting” by definition and that’s ok with me! My perfect afternoon is sitting on my front porch with a glass of sun tea and a good book.
Although I get teased about being a “health junkie” I’m really not. I just want to feel physically healthy, while still being realistic about knowing that once and awhile I may have to go thru a drive thru!
A few years ago I wasn’t feeling good physically, and I felt like the doctors weren’t really getting it. My stomach was a mess and I had gained weight. The doctors weren’t hearing what I was trying to explain about how I felt. They suggested that I had a gluten intolerance or IBS. I didn’t feel sick enough to need medicine, but I just didn’t feel good. I couldn’t really explain it, but I felt like my stomach was just off. I just didn’t feel quite right. I hadn’t had any real issues with weight before, so the 20 pounds I gained was very strange for me. Now with this story nothing really out of the ordinary, but I knew in the deepest part of myself that something was just not quite right. The doctors ran some tests, wanted me to try a gluten free diet… and of course offered me something for depression. I wasn’t depressed. I just didn’t feel quite right.
The doctors couldn’t exactly see anything medically wrong and after another attempt by doctors to put me on anxiety medicine (that seems to be the remedy that they turn to for women…depression/stress/anxiety…let’s just put them on Prozac so they quit complaining), I decided that I was going to take my health into my own hands. I decided to follow my internal guidance that was telling me something was off in my stomach and that I knew I didn’t need depression medicine. I was going to be INTENTIONAL about getting myself back to feeling good. And so began my journey as an herb specialist and eventually into life coaching.
Anyone who is serious about wanting to feel better!
My goal is to share with you the “How To” that a lot of self help gurus leave out! The gurus say ” You can Change your life!” and I think Ok great! But HOW Do I do that? I help you learn to make small changes to your diet, implement a few good health practices, learn about supplements: how best to use them and which ones will work best for you. It isn’t about being “perfect.” It’s about balance. I still have desserts and soda in my life! LOL
I work well with people who are ready to look at their life as a whole: Spiritually, mentally, emotionally and physically.
Each individual will gain distinct benefits and have different results, BUT here are some of the benefits that are common results:
That totally depends on you and how much you “jump in”. We can start out slow or go ALL IN. The more changes you can make to your health routine at once the faster you’ll start feeling better. The more you can be completely honest with yourself and give up judging yourself, the faster you’ll get results.
Understand that this is a process, a proven one, that works if you take action and implement all of the steps, supplements and dietary changes that I suggest. Do all of your homework. Be totally committed to your success.
Are you worth it? Do you want to feel healthier? Ask yourself what is good health worth to me?
Congratulations on making a decision to take life to the next level!
